Minutes of the Meeting of the Planning Committee held in the Car Park at the Village Hall on Monday 11^th June 2007 at 2.00pm.

There were no members of the public present

Cllr Hendy opened the meeting at 2.00pm

Personal & Prejudicial Interests ( i.e. Pecuniary / Non-Pecuniary)

Cllr Coleman declared a personal interest in item PL 41.

The following Planning Applications were considered:

PL 40. MA/07/1018 – 17 Cayser Drive, Kingswood.

Erection of a conservatory to the rear. Approve

PL 41. MA/07/1024 – Oaklands, Gravelly Bottom Road, Kingswood

Demolition of four agricultural sheds. Formation of driveway to form access to the rear, construction of barn style chalet dwelling with associated triple garage. Dwelling to have four bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and study with approximately 150 sq. metres floor area.

Refuse

The Parish Council wished to see this application refused for the following reasons:

1. The application is to build outside the village envelope

2. It would constitute an infill site

3. It would be an undesirable residential intrusion into the country side

4. That Gravelly Bottom Road is a narrow single track road, which is unpaved and unlit, and therefore unsuitable to accommodate any further developoment and the traffic generated by such a development.

Councillors noted on inspection of the site that there were no obvious signs of any agricultural sheds as mentioned in the application.

PL 42. MA/07/1076 – Goodwood, Broomfield Road, Kingswood

Erection of a single storey rear extension. Approve
